-Prakash Babu Paudel, Chengdu, China/It was a great learning for me to visit "Heritage Irrigation Structures " in Dujiangyan, Sichuan,  China. It was built more than 2000 years ago to control the flood of Minjiang River.

What UNESCO  said is, "Construction of the Dujiangyan Irrigation system began in the 3rd century BC. This system still controls the water of the Minjiang River and distributes it to the fertile farmland of the Chengdu plains.  Mount Qingcheng was the birthplace of Taoism, which is celebrated in a series of ancient temples"

what I can say is that it is a masterpiece of ancient engineering discovered in Dujiangyan,  China. We can learn a lot from this ancient water management system.
