Chengdu, China/World University Game is a dream project for us. This game started in 1959. Now the 31st edition of this game is going on in China. We have participated in this game since the 26th edition of 2011. We and our players are very proud to participate in this game.

We are impressed by the hospitality providing by the organizer since our arrival at Chengdu Airport. We are all so happy, how do we share this happiness? Our players have participated in Wushu and Taekwondo matches till date.

His thoughts on the opening ceremony

Looking at the opening ceremony of the World University Games, which started magnificently in the beautiful city of China, I think that no one can compete with China. Because, every one of their presentations is of high quality. The Chinese government has given so much importance to this game. Despite is busy schedule, President Xi Jinping kindly attended the opening ceremony and inaugurated it grandly. This game is an Olympic level game for university athletes for all over the world. As many times as these games are held in China, they have been successfully completed one after the other. I also watched the 2009 Harbin Games in China. I have seen the game in Shenzhen 2011 and this time it was even better than that. How organizing committee is working, I found that China has given great importance to the development of sports and that is the reason China is achieving excellence. 

About management

I am very impressed by the management and investment that the Chinese government has made to complete this game in a grand manner. We are getting enough support and facilities. There is nothing to complain about. We and our players are happy with the hospitality shown here. The environment created here for playing games cannot be compared to anyone else. It is grand and beautiful. The transportation services are outstanding wherever we go we are getting in free of cost. 

Expectations from players

As we are participating in the games, the players of each country want to show their best performance. We have come here with the same desire. We believe that we will play well. Our team and our well-wishers want Nepali players to win the game. We are trying. Our athletes broke their on national records and achieved new records. It is natural to be a winner in a game. I think Jeet-haar (Win-Lost) should be taken as normal. Our players are proud to play with world Olympians and world champions. They will learn something. I am playing with Olympians and with the World Champions, they are feeling more excited and proud than losing.
